The HATA First Seed Initiative Organic Gardening & Farming programs for our Youth & Senior community members
Identifying and recognizing communities, throughout the North Miami & Broward areas, who request training programs in gardening, from their local community centers as well as from their community council members.
We offer the skilled training and beautification programs to under resourced communities and their surrounding neighborhoods and schools, deserving of these needed gardening programs. Under-developed and unused community lots can be transformed into community meeting places, developing & propagating community healthy exchange, offering growth projects and nurturing lifelong practices of self-sustainability, through gardening.
HATA First Seed Goal - Is to incorporate gardening skills through training activities & programs offered in Pre-K to K2, Middle Schools and High Schools. In pursuit of creating gainful scholarships through community based sponsors, designed to promote and advance horticultural awareness and education for our community Youth.
The primary reasons for the programs, are to perpetuate a sense of self-sustainability and togetherness in communities for Youths, Young Adults and our Senior communities.
Children, who grow their own food, are more likely to be healthy, eating fresh fruits and vegetables all their lives.
